It is not professional, medical, electrical, legal or safety advice, and it does not replace the instructions supplied with your tools and materials. We try to keep our guides accurate and up to date, but we cannot promise that every detail is complete, correct or suitable for your situation. Tools, woods and finishes vary, so always test on scrap before working on a finished piece.
Safety and your own responsibility
Wood burning uses tools that reach very high temperatures and produces smoke and fumes. You are responsible for how you use any tool, material or technique described here, and you do so at your own risk. Always follow the manufacturer’s safety directions, work in a well-ventilated space, use only raw, untreated natural materials, keep children and pets away from hot tools, and never leave a burner switched on and unattended. We do not teach or endorse fractal (Lichtenberg) burning or any other high-voltage technique. It has caused many deaths, and nothing on this site should be read as instructions for it.
If you have a health condition that may be affected by smoke, such as asthma, or you are unsure whether a material is safe to burn, ask a qualified professional before you start.
No guarantee of results
Your results depend on your skill, equipment, wood and working conditions. Example pieces and photos show what is possible, not what you will achieve on your first attempt. Patterns may print or transfer slightly differently depending on your printer, paper and scaling settings.
AI-assisted content
We use artificial intelligence tools to help create parts of this site. In particular:
- Articles and guides are written with AI assistance and then checked and edited before publishing.
- Cover images and illustrations on articles are generated with AI image tools. They show the general idea of a topic and are not photos of real finished projects, so details such as tools, burn marks or textures may not be exact.
- Patterns are generated with AI image tools and then prepared as printable line art. For now this applies to all of our patterns. As the site grows, some new designs may be drawn by hand, and those will be described as hand-drawn. Unless a pattern says otherwise, you can assume it was generated with AI.
AI tools can make mistakes. We review content for usefulness and safety, but if something looks wrong, please tell us at admin@woodburningpatterns.com and we will correct it. Visitor personal data is not used to generate this content.
